Master of Science in School Counseling

The Master of Science in School Counseling prepares students to support the educational, personal and social needs of students; ages P-12. The program offers three specializations: Addiction Treatment and Recovery, Child and Adolescent Counseling, and General School Counseling. All specializations are accredited by CACREP and include coursework, field experiences and residencies prior to completion. Graduates will understand how to address the emotional, academic, social, cognitive and behavioral well-being of school-aged children and adolescents. Potential job opportunities include elementary, middle and high school counselor or guidance counselor.

Master of Science in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy

The MS degree program is designed with online coursework, residency and practicum/internship for applied practical knowledge in the Marriage and Family Counseling field. Both integrated therapeutic and academic coursework prepares students for state licensure eligibility. Program goals are for practitioners to properly diagnose and treat issues within the family system, apply counseling and wellness theory, and relationship building for couples and families.

Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

This specialization area prepares professionals to develop counseling and critical-thinking skills needed to help clients/patients overcome life’s challenges. Coursework, residency and practicum/internship programs prepare students for state licensure and real-world application.

  • Complete admission application online form
  • Sign an Acknowledgement agreement
  • Understand, speak, read and write fluent English
  • Submit official bachelor's degree and post-degree transcript(s) from a U.S. Department of Education accredited institution showing a minimum grade point average of 2.7 or higher
  • Submit 2 professional letters of recommendation assessing aptitude for graduate education in counseling
  • Provide a 3-6 page essay explaining the reason for choosing a clinical counseling related program and professional goals
  • Submit a professional resume or CV that demonstrates overall achievements through work and volunteer experience, certifications, training, and special awards.
