Alliant International University was first founded in 1969 as the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) to train doctoral-level psychologists. In 2001, the CSPP merged with the United States International University and San Francisco Law School to create Alliant. Owned by the Bertelsmann Education Group, Alliant is a private, for-profit higher learning institution focused primarily on post-graduate education.
