General Addiction Studies - Master of Science in Additional Studies

This degree program combines coursework, residency, and fieldwork to gain the skills necessary to help individuals who are affected by addictions. Students will learn behavior identification and methods for counseling those who face addiction. The online curriculum can be completed in two years and includes academic coursework and 300 hours of internship. Graduates are eligible to sit for credentialing examinations. Learning outcomes include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of addictive and compulsive behavior, therapeutic intervention treatments, individual and group counseling, and fundamentals of psychopathology and personality disorders. Employment opportunities can be found as an addictions counselor, chemical dependency professional, correctional substance abuse counselor, case manager or clinical counselor in mental health facilities, government agencies, vocational rehab, educational institutions or criminal corrections facilities.

General School Counseling - Master of Science in School Counseling

The Master of Science in School Counseling prepares students to support the educational, personal and social needs of students; ages P-12. The program is accredited by the CACREP and includes coursework, field experiences and residencies prior to completion. Graduates will understand how to address the emotional, academic, social, cognitive and behavioral well-being of school-aged children and adolescents. Job opportunities include elementary, middle and high school counselor or guidance counselor.

General Studies in Human Behavior - Master of Science in Human Behavior

The Master of Science concentration in Human Behavior is designed to provide students with the tools to provide more effective social services through contemporary human behavior theory, evaluation, critical thinking skills, and writing disciplines. This online program also emphasizes cultural and ethnic sensitivity training for improved advocacy through community service. The curriculum strengthens skills for professionals in the fields of education, psychology, behavioral sciences or social services.   • Sign an Acknowledgement agreement
  • Understand, speak, read and write fluent English
  • Submit official bachelor's degree and post-degree transcript(s) from a U.S. Department of Education accredited institution showing a minimum grade point average of 2.7 or higher
  • Submit 2 professional letters of recommendation assessing aptitude for graduate education in counseling
  • Provide a 3-6 page essay explaining the reason for choosing a clinical counseling related program and professional goals
  • Submit a professional resume or CV that demonstrates overall achievements through work and volunteer experience, certifications, training, and special awards.


Tuition for online Master of Science in Counseling courses is $487 per credit. By enrolling in three courses per quarter, students can graduate faster with an estimated total tuition of $38,054 plus books and application fee. In addition, two colloquia are required at a cost of $1,495 per colloquium plus travel, lodging, meals, and other expenses.
