Following a curriculum that leads to dual (K-12) school counseling certification, the program requires that all students complete at least 60 credit hours either full-time or part-time. While participating in the final clinical field experience in an approved school setting, students must also receive a passing grade on all three subtests of the PRAXIS Examination prior to candidacy for completion.

Master of Science (M.S.) in College Student Personnel

Established based on the respected professional standards of the Council for the Advancement in Higher Education, the Master of Arts (M.A.) in Student Affairs in Higher Education (SAHE) program is designed to blend the principles and practices of student affairs to ensure graduates can competently function as professional counselors with critical skills needed to communicate with college-age individuals. Along with small seminar-style classes for a total of 48 credit hours focused on active student participation in case studies, students will be expected to successfully complete a minimum of 700 clock hours of supervised fieldwork in diverse student affairs settings in preparation for working on a college campus.
