Are you ready to find your fit?
Seton Hill University is a private liberal arts university in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1885, it served as a small academy that the Sisters of Charity ran. The Sisters of Charity also opened a junior college and then a full college that used the Seton Hill name. All these schools admitted only women and offered students opportunities that they couldn’t find elsewhere in the state. Its first male students entered the college in the days following World War II, and many of those students used their GI Bill to pay for their classes. Though Seton Hill now admits men to all its programs, it still retains an affiliation with the Catholic Church.
As a liberal arts college, Seton Hill requires that all undergrads take courses in social sciences, writing and humanities as well as classes in math and life sciences. The university offers dozens of majors through six distinct divisions, and each division is responsible for overseeing different departments. It also offers 12 major programs at the graduate level, including a program in marriage and family therapy as well as a physician assistant program. Seton Hill University now has around 2,500 undergrads enrolling each year and a smaller number of graduate students. All students have the option to gain practical experience through field placements, internships and similar programs.
